After Graduating from Florida State University in 1989, I taught 11 years in Jackson County Florida. The first 7 years were with the 5th grade at Sneads Elementary School.  While there I won the Golden Apple Award for the Northwest Florida Area. The last 4 years were spent teaching special education grades 1-5 at Graceville Elementary School. I've been teaching in Alabama since August of 2000.   I taught 5th grade at Zion Chapel for three years and then moved to New Brockton Elementary. I am enjoying teaching at such a wonderful school.

I am happily married and have a daughter.  I'm originally from Florida, but have been living in Coffee Springs, Alabama since 1996.  My favorite hobbies are making crafts and gardening.  However, I love spending time with my family and working with church activities the most.  I especially enjoy traveling with my family.  My favorite trips are always to the mountains during the Fall and to Callaway Gardens to see the Christmas Lights during the Christmas Season.  My most memorable trip was to Hawaii to visit where I was born.
