“It is my duty to embed in the mind of each student the importance of setting goals and achieving them, because educators are creators and molders of dreams.  Just as each teacher in my life helped and are continuing to help mold my most precious desires, I want to be the artist in the life of others.  I want to paint a picture of hope, a picture of determination, and then paint the most beautiful picture of all- a student that thought they could and did.“

About Ms. Benson

Hello! My name is Crystal Benson and I am from New Brockton, Alabama. I graduated with honors from New Brockton High School in 1999. After graduation I attended Troy University. In 2002, I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in Business Administration.  After graduating, I began substitute teaching at New Brockton Elementary School. My passion for education truly ignited. In August of 2003, I returned to Troy University to obtain a Master’s Degree in Education.

I am an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Kappa Gamma teaching society,  Club Yesepoch of Enterprise,  & other organizations.  In my spare time I enjoy traveling, shopping, going to movies, plays/theater, swimming, reading, and watching sporting events. My favorite athletic past times include supporting the New Brockton Gamecocks, and the Troy University Trojans.

I have one son, Cason, who is the light of my life.

I look forward to a stellar school year!
